Cricketing world has been producing unexpected/unpredictable results lately...Pakistan is getting hammered by SA, Aussies are trashed by England, Sri Lankans are at their top form and very strong even without their star bowlers, Indians too are performing well.. Who do you think will win the World Cup? I say, Sri Lanka.. They've been playing amazingly well and the way they trashed India gives a pretty clear message.. They're well experienced, have talented young players, players play for the country, good team-spirit, very high moral... What do you people think? Reasons?

Since cricket is a game of uncertainties as has been proved on many occasions, no team can be predicted as defenite winner of world cup at this stage. In 1983, no one has even imagined that India will win the World cup. Even the current form of any team can be considered as weightage to decide the winners. It does not take much time to loose the form or regain the form. It will be purely dependent as to which team perform consistently in the
the world cup.
The fair prediction one can make at this stage is that any of the top 8 team is capable of winning the world cup.

Well I would have to say it will be a South Africa/Australia final, and the winnder will be hard to pick from there. South Africa have shown they are the team most likely to trouble Australia on a CONSISTENT basis. Yes, England just beat them, but they also copped some awful thrashings before hand. The Proteas have shown that they can match it with the Aussies, which is why they are ranked 2nd in ODI cricket and closing.
However, as a proud Aussie, I will say Australia to win, as the talent they have available can provide great depth and if one player is off, there are many others that can more than make up for it. But it will be tight!

there are lots of things required to win the wc and the important thing is spirit ,hence indian team will be the one to look out for.
