Any ideas on a unique baby shower?

My mother wants to give me a very unique baby shower. Not the typical sit down and eat and play games. Any really good ideas are appreciated.

Here are some great, unique, ideas for a different baby shower.

Book a group spa day for everyone. (Although this might be pricey). At the end...when everyone is all beautiful and refreshed you could head to a local restaurant where you could dine and open gifts!! (For a more low-scale version...book manicures or pedicures)

Depending on where you live....book a hot air balloon ride for everyone. A lot of companies will cater a "champagne brunch" afterwards. This could be where presents are opened!! You, of course, could have sparkling cider instead!! That would be an amazing activity!!

Book a group class for something fun!! Pottery making, scrapbooking, archery, skeet shooting! Something fun and different that everyone would at least want to try out!

Go through a Sunday paper and look for interesting ideas...activities in your area that are a little off the beaten path.

I think it is fun when both men and women go. There many fun games to play. Like having the guys diapering a chicken or a babydoll. Have a diaper party.. when all the guest bring a pack of diapers. Good luck and congrats.. here a few sites.

You could always do something exciting/adventurous with your girlfriends that you won't be able to do with a baby in tow eg hot air ballooning, canoeing, watching movies all night, all day pampering (shopping, hair, nails, massage, facial, pedicure, teeth cleaning). You could go away for a night or two with your girlfriends and just spend some quality time with them. That is a present you will really cherish.
