...You don't need to go anywhere... Take a really good friend with you when you shop...a Friend who is not afraid to tell you...NO don't buy that... I know this from experience...I have a friend who is constantly buying WHITE!!! and it frustrates me...She has beautiful fair skin and all and can show off diffrent colors...so the other day I made her purchase Some baby blue, red, etc. Brighter colors...Don't be afraid of wearing other colors... and you know...I'm chunky too... and I try hiding it with black as well...but Sometimes...you have to just let go and be yourself and not care what other think...you just have to feel comfortable with yourself...What you can do is just slowly start of buying something of another color that is not too bright like Brown or Gray... and Add...Cool Funky Bright Jewelery... If you go for a brown shirt go for blue jewelery and if you go for gray go for ANY Neon Color... you will see you will get used to seeing yourself with color! Good luck! I hope I have helped you!

There are many different things out there that go together. I find myself attracted to darker colors, but usually a pair of khaky pants with a green shirt works well. Sounds like you just need to spend some more time when you clothes shop, or take someone who has different tastes with you to steer you away from normal stores or racks.

I know what you mean,me too.I found out that I like a little sparkle in my black.I mostly buy dark and in the Summer I do a lot of gray.To dress up, I put Bling Bling with my black. You can dress up with accessories, purse, shoes, watches, rings,or bracelets. You need to wear what you feel comfortable wearing.Black is a hot color when the weather is hot..

I used to be exactly the same as you until I met my current boyfriend who dragged me out of black and put me in white and colours.
My tip is to try on clothes you would think about buying, but as well as trying on a black version, pick one or two other colours out in the same garment. Try them all on and you'll see that black isn't really so slimming after all, it makes really very little difference (except black trousers, always have a good pair of them cos they go with loads of things).
A good place to start is a dark pair of jeans, then try a few colourful tops on. Another tip is to get brightly coloured cardigans, you can wear all black under them so stay in your comfort zone but wearing a bright cardie means you add a splash of colour and don't fade into the background!
Also, take a trusted friend along to help you choose things to try on. You don't have to buy in the first instance so if you go in remembering that, you take the pressure off yourself. Just get into the habit of looking for colours and then you'll find it easier to get out of your black habits!
Good luck - it happened to me so it can happen to you!

Wear vertical lines... Stay away from white bottoms. wear darker jeans-bootcut. V necks are good too...slims you in a minute.don't wear too long tops... they enhance your stomach... wear them a little over the belt loops-.
