Race and gender of the candidates will not affect my vote. I will vote for the person who has the best views on how to solve the issues at stake in our nation today. Real plans, not pipe-dreams.

And the person who will do the best for my family and community and nation as far as national security, health care, education, etc... will earn my vote. It is about issues, and experience. Not about race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or anything like that.

I am not a citizen of your country so I don't blame you if you feel it is none of my business. But the reason I am responding to your question is that it is indeed, my business and the business of every soul on the planet. I really don't mind who becomes the next president of your country in terms of colour, gender, other, minority or mainstream member as long as they would do the following:

1) First, fix the many problems such as health care, job security etc. that has created a new kind of poverty among working people in your country, caused by both presidential and senate fiscal cutbacks in the name of' American prosperity.'. Why should I care ? For two reasons : a) It is terribly unfair, immoral and shocking that these measures are enthusiastically endorsed , shall I say it, by 'honourable men'. b) Governments, such as my own look to the US as a model for it's own policies. (So, yes, there is a selfish undercurrent here.)

2)A leader that can demonstrate a different style of leadership than that demonstrated by the present incumbent in the White House. We need a black/white man or woman, whatever, who can confront the environmental issues that face all of us. The Kyoto agreement , while far from perfect was at least an opportunity to show this leadership but alas...

3) We need the kind of leader that reflects the hearts and minds of the average American rather than one that portrays the psyche of your country as one that is solely concerned with its own interests and to hell with the rest of you.

4) We need a leader for your country that at least YOU trust. That you feel really does reflect the true ethos of your country.

5) The US and the world needs the kind of presidential leader to take us in to the present century, ( which is already 6 and a bit years old,) and has the kind of perspective and policies that will address the issues that you and I feel must be addressed if we are going to make it to the next century.

You see, your vote, your decision is really important to everybody. Show us what you can do !

It would not matter to me which party they belonged to, what gender or color. It would be the person who has shown a vision for this country that would take it back to the heights it had once been at.
The conservative talking heads love to talk about the Dow Jones Industrial Average as if it means that the economy is flourishing for everybody when the majority of Americans don't invest in it.

I personally like Barack Obama because of what he expressed in his keynote speech in 2004. He has emphasized that we have to get over this red state blue state mentality because the only way to make this country great again is to become the United States. Our reputation overseas is in tatters, we need a change from the Bush- Clinton headlock on our politics over the last 19 years

I would vote for the person, no matter what gender or race, who is willing to step up to the plate and deal with the issues facing this country. Fix the problems we have here first. We don't have to cut the rest of the world off but we need to take care of ourselves to properly take care of others. I don't know of any politicians for any office willing to stand up and really do something to correct the problems we have. They are too busy catering to other issues with groups and winning popularity contests. Who I vote for remains to be seen. I will spend some time reviewing the candidates positions and theories before I make up my mind.

Honesty. Loyalty. Faith. Honor.

Someone who will deliver on his campaign promises. Someone who will not run this country any deeper in debt than we already are. Someone will give us all health care. I am not saying free health care, but the availability to health care for those who cannot afford. Someone who will take a hold on the cost of prescription medications. But in the front of all of these, someone who will get us out of the Middle East with whatever dignity we have left. I do not care if they are black, white, green or purple. Let's get the job done correctly.

Condoleeza Rice, Hillary Clinton, Barak Obama, John E (Jeb) Bush, John McCain, Ruddy Guillani, Mitt Romney, Jesse Jackson, David Letterman, Oprah Winfrey, Jerry Springer

Hmmm. Let's See. They ALL sound pretty good, don't they? Oh, I have it now: Alan Greenspan.

SERIOUSLY:
I want someone with vision, someone who stands on moral principles, and someone with courage.
Their race, gender, and political party affiliation are insignificant to me.

Someone who has the gonads to do what is right no matter who they piss off. Closing the borders would be the first thing I'd like to see happen. And someone who isn't afraid to use racial profiling to thwart terrorist attacks while giving the rest of us our liberty back. Those are just a couple of issues I'd like to see someone step up and rope. But there isn't a politician out there with gonads that big.
