there maybe a setting in your messages that says save sent messages, if you add the model of your phone i may be able to give you the reset code, alot are 0000.!!!
you wont lock your mobile if you try 0000 or 12345, you can try as many times as you want with factory settings only.!!!!
*Its 00000000 i just got it of my Niece, She has the same model as You.!!!!!

your txt will only be saved in the sent box if you choose the
' send and save ' option ( real pest i know ) and also i cant think of any samsung phones that have a message counter. i have the d900 and it doesnt.
the default password is 00000000 ( 8x0 ) unless you have already changed it. hope all this helps !!

when sending a message its asking if u want it only send or send and stored but maybe it depends from phone to phone

if its a samsung D600,
go to create a message,write your text,
bebore you send it click on the top left button,
then it comes up with,
1),send only.
2),save & send,
click on save & send,then just put your contact number in then send.
