Since Bush took office, all Liberals have been saying is that Republicans won the vote due to the religious right wing fanatics that must live in the bible belt (a myth, since the Silent Majority just could not bring themselves to vote for that idiot John Kerry) and now we have Barak Obama all over the news this morning, advocating Jesus Christ. I am a Catholic, but come on, WHAT IS UP WITH THE DOUBLE STANDARDS? If Bush said the words Jesus Christ, the Liberal media would go bonkers!

If the Republican can do a massive brain washing to make people believe that they are all good Christians and that all Democrats are not christians then Yes, Barak has every right to set the record straight! I have a friend who voted for Bush because he claimmed to be a Christian. As for you judging John Kerry an Idiot Jesus tell us in his Sermon on the mount not to judge others because our Father in heaven (God) will judge us with the same measure we have judged others.Matt. Chapter 5

He uses those words because he is a christain. The reason why people say that Bush used the religion for the right wing fanatics is because religion was the focus of his campaign.Although he has had to defend his religion due to false information about him being a muslim, clearly Sen Obama's focus is not religion it has more to do with unifying the nation.

Bush hasn't helped people too much and he advocates his chrisianty, that should be a double standard.

Where have you been? Some say that Bush's discussion of his religious faith in the last debate won him the election. Do you understand that discussing religion is very different than basing political decisions on religious beliefs? Do you think our early alignment with Israel was based on religion more than politics? Anwar Sadat was a good man. Look at the facts, early on and decide who the aggresor was. If all a politition wants to do is DISCUSS religion; I have no problem with that.

Okay...so instead of being all twisted up about it...why not be happy that there is finally a candidate on the other side who is bridging the gap? Why can't this be a good thing?

This is clearly an example of looking for any little thing to use to bash the 'other side'...a practice utilized by both parties. Instead of seeing that this may be a good thing, you use it as fodder for more mudslinging. Very Christian, don't you think?

I think you misunderstand something..its not the mention of God
that turns off some people. Its using the name of God as a reason for political policy...You do recall Bush claimed he spoke to God
on the invasion of Iraq and how many right wing Politicians talk about Christian values in their campaign speeches ?

Because religion and it's interpretation is reserved for the left. Apparently they've completely forgotten all the images we would see of the Clinton's going to church when they were in office.

How many have we seen of the Bush family going? I can't think of any, and why? Because the media would feed it to the rabid dogs on the left and they would just spout more of their anti-Christian rhetoric.

Well, the liberal media knows that HUSSEIN Obama is really a Muslim! He is a fake Christian.

So that's why they disregard Hussein's words. But they know that when President Bush says "Jesus Christ," he means it!

So that's why the libs are lying low. Cheats.

Your reasoning is flawed due to the following:

The neo-right attempts to govern the US and the entire world by their flawed interpretation of the Bible. They have the audacity to claim that God tells them to do things like invade countries. They act as though they speak for God Himself.

Obama and others mention their beliefs as a part of their character. They are not trying to impose their religion on the world.
