As an American, I feel quite qualified to answer that on behalf of Americans everywhere. We're quite open minded. This is, after all, the land of the free.

Frankly, I have wondered if those guys are not actually in the employee of larger anti-American organizations. The bottom line is that wars are not won on the battlefield, but in the hearts and minds of the general population. Combine that with the fact that forums like this one are heavily populated by a younger audience that don't have the political and historical perspective that those of us who remember more than a couple of presidents do. Additionally, that younger audience will be of voting age in the not too distant future. This makes forums like this a ripe opportunity to shape the minds of future voters. I find it funny how often someone posts some anti-US rant and, someone else will respond with a "let's put this into historical perspective" answer, and the question will suddenly be deleted before anyone else can read it. Of course, those that only get the usual "the current administration are all poopy heads" drivel tend to stick around for awhile. Hmmmm....

I don't believe Americans are smaller minded than any other people in general. People the world over are rather small minded.

its the overwhelming belief that they and they alone have the answers for everyone everywhere all the time and thier president rams it all right down the worlds throat, small minded is really the tip of the ice burg and to the person who said that america can knock him back to the middle ages, every bully has someone that scares them, funni how you go all quiet when ever china pops its head up and says boo! who is the real super power?

where on earth is this coming from? i hardly think that an entire country could all be lumped together and called small minded!! i for one have a very broad mind and love to think and reason and have no hatred for for people just because they may not think like me. there are good and bad in all countries, religions, faiths, etc. you cannot judge just by a few.

Generalistic statements are seldom right - even this one. It is quite obvious to most that you are American yourself - even though you cannot spell - dumb instead of stupid, principal instead of headmaster - you must have some serious mental problems.

Look who's talking! I would say, judging by your question, you are the one who is small minded.
