The best way to quit smoking is to just do it, I know its hard because I used to, but I tried everything when I did, eventually I just quit and I have been that way for 3 years now.Good luck.

As a Certified Hypnotist, not only do I help individuals who wish to rid the habit of smoking - I have done it myself! It is now over four years and i have not touched - literally "touched" a cigarette! I combine NLP (Tony Robbins) and Hypnosis to put in "roots" - making it as if this is how it was all along. Now, you truly have to want to quit or nothing will work (most smokers LIKE to smoke and don't really want to give it up).....it's all about you....the hypnotist is there just to "help you change your mind..."
Matt Damon went on the Tonight Show and flat out told Jay Leno that he quit smoking after seeing a Hypnotherapist in LA. Without cravings! I (and my clients) know for a fact that it works....because we truly wanted to quit, we were able to do it with the assist of hypnosis....if you want further direction, let me know....Whatever you choose - all the best to you!

I used the Nicoderm patches. You have to go through the whole process. If you have sensitive skin (like me), I advise not to use. I had a bad allergic reaction to them (nothing serious- just red, swollen, itchy skin where the patch was). But they work very well, and if you chew gum, it helps alot. Dont use the gum and the patch together though.
The cost of the patch for the whole amount of time is the equivalent of cigarettes. Good luck!!!! It helps too, sometimes, to have a sponsor, like in AA. Especially an ex-smoker, since they will keep you on track.

try to avoid other smokers while you're trying tro quit. only thing else you need is will power. gradually slowing down only makes you want to smoke more but it might work for you. i think cold turkey is best. never smoke while on the patch or you could pass out. your body can overdose from too much nicotine in the system and make you feel sick as a dog

Stop smoking. When wanting a cigarette remind your self that you no longer smoke. Eventually you will know that you are a non-smoker.
Basically, think like a non-smoker.
