Im looking for a film that will actually scare me silly watching it, im having people round and we want to watch a scary film, but we dont know what one will do the trick

Horror movies nowadays, such as Saw, Texas Chainsaw massacre etc. wont scare you so much as disgust you.
Watch some ones from the 70s such as The hills have eyes(original) and Texas Chainsaw Massacre(original).
The exorsism and The Shining are also pretty scary.

Exorcist- My brother and babysitter watched that movie when I was 5 yo. I was scared silly. I will never watch that movie again. I will never see any clips from that movie. My hubby brought pt 2/3 home, and I cried. I didn't want those movies in my house. So he took them out to the car, and he took them back to the store.

the exorcist for sure. I saw it at a very young age and it scared the hell out of me. I am 31 and the movie still makes me pee the bed.

the Excorcist will make you piss in your pants. i watched just a little clip of the movie, and it scared me like hell. i'm too afraid to watch the whole movie now. since there are more than one excorcist movies, watch the original one, it's the scariest. my cousin even pooped in his pants watching it, but he won't admit it.
