They'll blame it on the "Liberal Hollywood Establishment" The fact is that the Dixie Chicks deserved it because they make straight up good music. That's why they've sold so many albums. The corporate promoters didn't promote their concerts in Poddunk. At a global level who needs PoddunK? Most of the mainstream country artists, today, are closer to southern rock than pure country any way. They're singing redneck songs with electric guitars and a rock beat. Toby Keith is more like Lynard Skynard than Charlie Pride. The Dixie Chicks get back to country roots, using a fiddle and acoustic guitar with excellent vocals. They are also very hot!

in case you wanted to envision out this from a diverse perspective...those awards exhibits do look to positioned a properly classification on communities or performers which have conquer adversity, made a comeback, etc. The Dixie Chicks were fairly a lot dust many years in the past. they have bounced lower back. i'd assume that turned right into a interest...alongside with the Grammy's being political for sure.

No. I am conservative, but it's not my style of music.

Maybe it's a good record; maybe the Grammys were making a political statement. I don't know.

I note that Mary K. Blige didn't win all that many awards. I wonder if the storyline would have been "are the Grammys racist?" or something like that if The Dixie Chicks had not been trashing America here and abroad. Or, maybe they wouldn't have won. We'll never know.

Nope. I love Dylan, and personally speaking, they'll never equal his greatness. The Grammy's today are sort of irrelevant. Once they started giving it to rap artists,I lost interest. However, last night I watched it for the Police reunion. And they rocked!

No...I'd say that the hatred-level is about the same...

Who cares if a bunch of whiny libs want to pat themselves on the back year after year?

All of those award shows (the grammys, the country music awards, etc.) are pretty silly and a waste of time.

There's that hate word again.

The grammy's have nothing to do with the public, so who cares what the liberal entertainment industry thinks.

Why would they care? It's pointless. The grammy's are just as political as any election. It's expected.

I have never been a fan of the Dixie Chicks, and really know nothing about them, other than they have alienated the majority of their listeners by bashing the President.

I care nothing about the Grammy's.

So, Hollywood is liberal, now THERE'S a surprise!

Nope. I love their past music, their latest album was so-so at best. More politics than musical quality. Since they left Sony their money might be up but their hits are way down.

No, I did not like them before the Bush comment & still do not care for them. Anyway why would the opinion of Hollywood sway my thinking either way, that would be pretty shallow-minded don't you think?
