How should I do it also? Should I make somewhat of what I want it to look like on a another program, and should I also describe it in writing? If any of you have ever had another business create a website for you, what did they need from you?

I found that the easiest way to make a website is through WebStarts. It has a drag and drop tool that is remarkably easy to use. Plus with a Free membership you can make up to 5 free websites.

You have to tell them the functions that you want for your website. Like if you want site visitors to be able to contact you, a function where site visitors can login and have their own member page, etc, you should tell them that.

The next will be the design, you don't have to create it, it is their job to do it. What you need to do is give them ideas on how you want it to look like. Do you want it to be simple, professional, fancy..? What are the colors you want to see on your website?
What kind of fonts do wish them to use for your website? What are the kind of graphics you want to see on your site? The more detailed you are into describing how you want your site to look like the more it will be easier for them to create the website that will fit your taste and functionalities that will fit your needs.

I hope this information helps :-)
