Knowing fully well that Karnataka is in India you have asked question. Here the question is "WATER"..sharing. There are so many issues kept burning in this country and new issues are being generated by those who ruled this country since Independence. Kashmir issue.... Border Issue... Language issue...and so on.... these issues are to be amicably solved by the Central Govt... with proper and acceptable discussion with
concerned states. Again there comes a devil of "POLITICS"
while committees set up by Govt. are biased or people don't understand the justification of the decesion correctly. so violence.. blood flows instead of water! Brother it is not Karnataka acting like barbarians... This is the state well recognised for its culture of brotherhood but dear brother...
calliing others as barbarians is not in the interest of the country.

Karnataka is a state of India with a long tradition of innovation in the fields of both Carnatic and Hindustani classical music.
Basaveshwara, King of Kalyana, leader of the Bhakti movement and Prime Minister of Bijjala, created his Vachanas, an integral part of the Indian classical music's development during this period, which also saw the rise of composers like Chandraja, Shantala, Akka Mahadevi and Allama. Later, Vidyaranya's Sangitasara, Ventamakhin's Chaturdandi Prakashika and Chaturkallinatha's Sangitaratnakara further refined these traditions.
With the rise of Vaishnavism and the Haridasa movement came Karnataka composers like Purandaradasa, whose Kannada language works were complex, devotional and philosophical, as well as Kanakadasa, Vijayadasa and Jagannathadasa. Later came the Wodeyars of Mysore, great patrons of the arts, who helped support composers like Jayachamarajendra Wodeyar, Veene Sheshanna, Veene Subbanna, Bidaram Krishnappa, Muthiah Bhagavatar, Bhairavi Kempegowda, Mysore Vasudevaraya and T. Chowdiah.
Hindustani classical musicians from Karnataka include Mallikarjun Mansoor, Bhimsen Joshi, Basavraj Rajguru, Nagarajarao Havaldar and Gangubai Hanagal

Karnataka is in India. chk any map of india.
rafeek, charity begins at home. the OTHER party, so to speak, is tamil nadu, another state. it's a state that enjoys the monsoon 2 times ayear. they need to plan water harvesting, and then implement it. once they do that, they wont need any riverine water. however, karnataka is a state that has only one major river, from which we source drinking water and power supply. yes. we are planning on nuclear power, but since a reactor is not a mushroom, it may take time to implement. moreover, the other ricers are seasonal. so wharing water is not an issue, that amount shared is. the amount allocated to us is lesser than what we need. however, i also agree, violence is no solution. it's shameful. we can definitely negotiate it over. may take more time to be sure, but in the meanwhile even we can begin to harvest water. our desert state, rajasthan has managed to do it with israel's help, and i am sure we can too. gibve some time, and the whole world will have to begin to be careful with water. not much, say 40 years more at the maximum.

Not only Karnatak people but whole Indian people have heart to share everything,, food, water, love.
.. but......
Indian Politicians/Leaders don't have the heart and feelings for the people of the country.
They just see them as a voter, that's it. When they need them they use them.

ACTUALLY KARNATKA SAYS THAT IT NEED MORE WATER BECAUSE IT HAS GOT MORE CONSUMPTION OF WATER. BUT IT SHOULD ALSO UNDERSTAND THAT ITS NEIGHBOURS ALSO NEED WATER.
