My question- Do you think Obama can change the tide and be the 2008 Dem. candidate?

Sadly, it looks like the Clinton seek-and-destroy machine is out to get him, and once they set their sights on someone, they are mostly out of luck.

I think Hillary won't rest until she takes him down.

That said, I really hope he will be the democratic candidate. Although largely unproven, he has great ideas and is a fresh voice for the people of our great nation.

the media decide the primaries, not the voters. If you want to know who will win, start paying attention to whom the media pays the most attention beginning sometime in late summer, early fall. I suppose I'd rather have Obama than Hillary, because I believe he genuinely believes in bi-partisanship, whereas Hillary is just an evil snake... But I think she has too much money to lose now, unless she screws up badly. Personally, I think Barack is really positioning himself for VP.

It is still early. I think that people are going to like what Obama has to say. He is about unifying America, which is something I think most Americans woule like to see happen. People are sick of partisan govt.
