If a gay male (GM) and straight male (SM) live together in the same house for more than a year is there a relationship going on between them?

Gay male is dominant and high achiever and is older by about 5 years. Straight male is 22. Is there any chance the straight male can possibly offer a sincere care to the gay male?

Why do you think the SM always thinks that the GM is taking advantage of him? The GM is sincere in helping the SM, in fact the GM offers his house for the SM without any payment.

Yes, they do have sex. In their case, I think having sex is valid in the situation because they have an agreement to have a "special relationship". SM and GM agreed on that part.

Do you think the SM is taking advantage the GM because he is afraid of losing him? Do you think their relationship is rooted on trust or need?

Who needs the relationship better, the SM or GM? (GM seems trustworthy, but doubtful on sincerity).

I think the relationship is definitely, definitely rooted in need - on both sides. The SM is taking advantage of the GM for a place to live and various other financial benefits. The GM is taking advantage of the SM sexually - by putting in place an agreement that includes sexual favors from a young man in return for a place to live, etc. I don't think either party can truly offer "care" to the other as they both have underlying agendas as to why they offer the favors - financial and sexual to each other. There is no truth to the SM sexual encounters with the GM - he's doing that out of a sense of obligation. It's kind of a sad and pathetic situation on both sides.

And I know too, many gay males who really think they can "turn" a straight man gay. That's a ridiculous concept, just as the concept of a straight woman turning a gay man straight is ridiculous. If you're gay, you're gay. If you're straight, you're straight. There's no changing a person's sexual orientation, no matter which team he's on.

There is always a relationship between any two participants. What you mean is: is it a relationship that is worth it's substance.

My view not. The straight man is selling himself for free accommodation and help in getting a placement at work. He is not in love with the gay man (however much the gay man might like think to think he is).

They are both taking advantage of each other and have no real love for one another.

Sounds like the young straight guy is an under achiever and a mooch. He is probably living free rent off the older gay guy in exchange for a little bootay on the side. Young guys with no or little self esteem do this... it's called whoring.

I don't see how the guy is straight if he is having sexual relations with a gay male.

I think the gay male loves the idea of having the straight male around and the "friends with benefits" idea is enough to go out of his way to keep him as a roommate. As long as they are happy and understand the boundaries of the friendship, this is possible and can work for as long as they want it to.

i think that they would be roomates, they should not break each other's trust. By going that far that they have sex with each other, then its the straight guys choice..
