I am in my first trimester and very happy to be pregnant! But every morning I wake up with diarrhea... is it something I should be worried about and what can I do to wake up without it? A doctor's visit is a $30 copay, so I'd like to find some advice first LoL! I haven't had any morning sickness...

Congratulations on the pregnancy! It's such an exciting time and I can see why this would put a damper on things for you!

Are you eating different foods now than you are used to eating? Like higher fat, more greasy foods? I'm several weeks along and have been indulging in snacks a little more than usual, so I know how easy it is to do!
I would eat more starchy foods to help bind things together. Rice, vegetables, yogurt. I would avoid excess sugary-things like soda and apple juice. Also avoid anything that's really greasy (like McD's) and see if that doesn't help.
Are you taking a prenatal vitamin? Sometimes excess iron can cause this if your body isn't used to it, compare labels.

You may want to call your doctor's office... if you are an established patient, they may be willing to answer your question over the phone!
Good luck and best wishes for a healthy, happy baby!!

Diarrhea is not an obstetrical sign. It's either food poisoning, stomach virus or irritable bowel. So with that being said,I would go and have that one checked out..Even if you are just calling your nurse line..to confirm...You are also on prenatal vitamins right?
Maby they are making you have diarreah...I threw up from my prenatal vitamins (not the morningsickness...I had that one too..)...my body could not take it...so my doc told me to take Flintstone Vitamines..and it worked..I had a healthy babyboy..
I would not take thi until I would confirm w/ your doc that he is OK with that.

All you have to do is call your doctor. They don't charge you to call. You could get dehydrated so you really need some professional advice.

Try eating more solid foods, like meat, and proteins. They will slow down your digestion and make more solid stool.
