no dont worry its called Implantation bleeding
Some women have a small amount of vaginal bleeding around 11 or 12 days after conception (close to the time you might notice a missed period). The bleeding may be caused by the fertilized egg burrowing into the blood-rich lining of your uterus — a process that starts just six days after fertilization — but no one knows for sure. The bleeding is very light (appearing as red spotting or pink or reddish-brown staining) . (Let your practitioner know if you notice any bleeding or spotting, particularly if it's accompanied by pain, since this can be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy.)
And you are only 8 weeks ,this is going to happen dont worry!

Hi congratulations on your pregnancy.
When I was pregnant first time round I had some bleeding at 18 weeks it turned out to be a polyp on the nexk of my womb which was absolutely no problem to the pregnancy and that continued it may be that the bleeding is nothing at all to be worried about as quite often around the time of a period early on in pregnancy there can be a little spotting, although I would recommend you get checked out if there is anymore

hey congrats on your pregnancy.I am only 8/9 weeks and this is what i went through last week, i was really worried and asked the same question on here.I phoned my midwife and told her and she got me in for an emergency scan, thankfully everything was OK and the baby had a lovely heartbeat which i saw. They told me that it was common in most pregnancies but if i started to bleed like a period then it was something to be worried about. The best advice i could give is to phone your midwife and she should get you in for scan just to put your mind at rest. you will feel a lot better, i know i do now. Hope this helps and good luck! x

Whilst i was pregnant with my first child in the first few weeks i had a few small bleeds and i was fine. Just keep an eye on it for the next hour if it gets any heavier or if you start to have any pains or feel ill call your midwife or doctor immediately. It is always best to get these things check no matter how small or minor you think they are because it puts your mind at rest and the stress is not good for the little one

You could always call the E.R. and see what their opinion is, but since your appointment is tomorrow I'd probably just tough it out till tomorrow. Not to scare you, but if it were the start of a miscarriage there is nothing the E.R. nor the doctor can do to stop it. Keep in mind though. Light spotting/and or bleeding is VERY common in your first trimester. Your body is going through a huge amount of change and you can actually start to bleed a tad when your next expected period was supposed to show. Try not to worry though. I'm sure everything will be fine. =)

hi there,
Congrats on being pregnant. I dont want to worry or shock you but I had exactly the same thing when i was 6 weeks 4 days (3 months ago) and it got progressively worse throughout the course of the day and I began to bleed properly like a period. I went to the hospital and they just thought i had an infection and sent me home. But then I had to go back as the bleeding got so bad and I had period like cramps, I miscarried. I really hope this isn't whats going to happen to you but if it is its meant to be. Ask for an ultrasoiund. I had to wait til the Monday as there was no one at the hopsital on weekends to perform the ultrasound scans. Fingers crossed for you. x

i would call your doctor it could be many things, just normal spotting, (i had that) or maybe you have developed a bladder or Urinary infection, that could cause slight bleeding or discharge, i am sure it nothing to be too concerned about but i would still contact your ob to be sure.
