can any one tell me if they kno the unlocking codes for the sony aricsson w850i phones or where i can get hold of these if they know how. many thanks in advance

no its not against the law..its so i can change the network im with from 3 to any i want to use..im in the uk

u really dont want to do that. it will cost u 45-70 dollors on a plan to do it, or 70 dollors on pre-pay from cingular. it actualy do the unlock code, its illegal ( if we are dicusing the same thing) if u mean the securty code, try 999999. 666666, or 123456.

You can unlock phones from the 3 network but it depends on 2 things: 1. Has an unlock code been produced either by the manufacturer of the handset or by a third party? 2. What is the charge for unlocking the handset? First thing to do is call 3 and see if they have an unlock code and if so what the charge is. If they don't or the charge is hefty then just google your handset model with "unlock handset" and see what comes up. A lot of the 3G forums will have information and be able to advise on reputable third parties supplying such a service.

As far as I know, you must provide imei number for your specific phone(s). There are probably millions of codes.
