And your point .... is??? Bit sick and tired - to be very honest - about people using Y!A as a place to dump their frustrations.
You are acusing people of being ignorant, but actually: YOU ARE, as you are asuming people are plain stupid. It is common knowledge the USA is home to many people of many backgrounds, regions and religions.
Besides, and dont take it personally, you are an American. Apart from your skin colour, there is nothing African about you.

1. This is not a question just because it has "?" after it.
2. There is spelled T H E R E when it is not the personal possessive pleural.
3. Which IDIOTS are you referring to and why? Everybody knows there are blacks in America, and some of African ancestry are white (if they came from white Africans)
What is your point?

You are an African American, not a African American, there are also many other ethnic people from other continents living in America, including Native Americans.

Do you consider it a form of self-segregation that you address yourself as an African American rather than simply an American?
I am only asking out of curiosity, as this is a practice common in America but not here in the UK. The people I know who were born here but whose ancestors come from another country don't call themselves (for example) West Indian British, or Pakestani English.
You are obviously proud to be American. But to me it seems that calling yourself African American is like saying "I was born here but don't consider myself as properly belonging here".
Anyway, that's just my opinion. Good on you for standing up and gtiving yours.

America ACTUALLY BELONGS TO Red Indians. The so called whites stole it from them. For tough physical labor they brought in Afro Americans. Now some of them want both these clans cleared out.
Luckily there are sensible Americans who respect us coloreds.

You're joking right!? You gotta live in a very dark cave within a cave not to know that the U.S. has people of all nationalities and races. Very bizarre that someone can not know that.
