Methylene Cloride is the paint solvent, and Caustic Soda is what you see as the top coating which contains a jelling agent of finely dispersed mineral oil. That CausticSoadaJell precipates to the top and leaves the Methylene Cloride active on the hard paint. Once disolved by the Methylene Cloride, the Caustic then Degrades the paint so you can wash it off with a water hose.
