yeah, it is time for a new ring... she would put it in front of the other two, or on her other ring finger. Get a band with lots of diamonds on it.

1... don't every think of replacing her wedding ring... you have no clue how much "THAT" ring means to her...

that being said...

Get her something that shows how much you care... like a new Iron. Or a bread maker...

just kidding...

Really... I would think hard... search your memory for all those times you were nodding and saying uh ha... and barely listening... what you are looking for is something that means something to her... but is of not much value to most people... something sentimental.

Example... say you met at some bar in a city 200 miles away from where you live... call the bar. get somebody to mail you a matchbook from the place... and use the matchbook as the little card you put in with a bunch of flowers...

you are looking for something you know will mean something to her... and will show her you care and listen to her... it shouldn't be something easy... like you know she likes precious moments... because she has and entire cabinet full of them.. you get her one every holiday... blah blah...

My point here is... at 5 years... for some reason (at least with my wife...) it is a big year... 2,5,10 seam to be big... not sure what comes after that in terms of what will be important to her... So back to the point... 5 is big... so the "gift" isn't that important... it is the thought that counts...

It needs to be a very thoughfull gift or a big gesture... IMHO

Good luck...

Jewelry is always nice, but I assume you are talking about a new wedding ring. In my opinion, I think it is too soon to buy a new wedding ring. Any other kind of ring or bracelet would be nice. but be creative about it. Make it a surprise. If you have children arrange for a babysitter and take her for a night away or just a day of relaxing with each other and being pampered. Once my husband took me to nicest restuarant in town in a private room. He had them escort us like royalty to the table. When we got to table he had a dozen roses with a few of the petals on the table. Then after we ate he had them serve dessert, but instead of dessert they brought me a jewerly box with a diamond and sapphire bracelet in it. It was one of the most romantic nights I've ever had. Good Luck to you!!!

Hahaha, you've got yourself a real problem there.
Perhaps try to show more sincerity instead of just buying something. Most likely you'll have to step out of your area of comfort.

Stuff I've previously done before include learning cross-stitching and framing up her favourite animated character, arranging my own bouquet of flowers, baking a cake, arranging her favourite song into parts and getting my choir friends to sing Acappella for her with me as the lead singer.

Hope it works out dude

The traditional symbol for the fifth wedding anniversary is wood, which represents strength & a solidified relationship, if you wish to go that route. If not, it's totally up to you, as you know your wife's likes & dislikes.

Ya diamonds are a girl best fren ha ha but maybe you can try to figure out something that she really would hold close to her heart something she has loved since she was little or more like that. Maybe you'd gift her a baby or child photo of you where u act rather sulky lol....
