Because you don't respect them but it seems like you think they owe you something. You're probably just hearing this in anticipation, because you're used to letting them down, and needing them to pull you out of a rut you've dug for yourself. Respect your elders, especially your parents, and then get your sh*t together on your own, so that you won't be expecting them to say stuff like that.
