seriously.
thankfully i have a few normal friends but the following are bizarre....2 brothers one thinks he is depressed and does viking re-enactments the other is being brainwashed into a christian cult. my male ex-roommate had a secret crush on me (i'm male too, eww) and i have a half german, half jewish friend on riddilin who is always talking about politics but is forever getting things wrong about it. i think i'll hang out with the more normal people to be honest.

There is no such thing as "normal". We are all dysfunctional and/or eclectic in our own way. It's what makes us human.
If you want "normal", maybe you should make friends with a robot ... except then you'd be the one who's a little odd.

Awww... come on why do want to get rid of them? Don't you think your life is interesting because of them? I saw an answer to this question which says the reader loved your humorous style of writing. Do you think you're capable of writing something like that without those friends? Everyday we meet a hundred kinds of people and each has their own unique line of thought and an unique angle of vision. Imagine if an alien comes down to your house someday! You will look very strange and abnormal to the alien and vice-versa. We all are abnormal or strange in one way or the other. But as we gather more people like us, we form groups and call that normal. It is just that 'MAJORITY RULES'. If 75% of the world was brainwashed into a Christian cult, then they would call you strange, wouldn't they? Above all that getting to know weird people gives you more to write about, more to talk about and more to know about. It just increases the radius of your sack of experience and wisdom. I would suggest you to meet strange people more often than the so-called normal people. Because strange people spark in you strange, new, innovative ideas whereas normal people don't--- they tell you what you already know.... they tell you the normal thing.

I too had to laugh the way you discribe your" FRIENDS".
They actually don't sound that odd to me, everyone is
different and that's good in a way.Normal can be boring
at times ,but if you feel these people are not for you then stick to your normal friends .What ever normal means?

You have a group of eclectic (weird, strange, unique) friends that actually made your question interesting?! I laughed reading your description of them! You've got a great sense of humor and "normal" people would ruin it and bore the sh!t out of you!!!
