After 4 months I think I'd be heading for the doctor too, but if you really don't want to then for the cough and sore throat I would try hot lemon drink (make it yourself - just boil a pan of water with a lemon sliced up in it). As you are diabetic I won't suggest adding sugar or honey but I think there are sugar-free sweetener granules you could add just to take away the tartness of the lemon. A shot of whisky or brandy in it always helps me but I'm not sure if you can have that as a diabetic.
For the sinus congestion, steaming is always good. Get a large bowl, fill with boiling water, add peppermint or eucalyptus essential oils (or Olbas Oil), stick a towel over the back of your head and lean forward over the bowl (enclosing the bowl within the towel), and breathe deeply for as long as you can. Warning - the oils may make your eyes water so keep them shut while you do this.
As far as diet is concerned, dairy is considered a common factor in sinus problems and mucus production. Try cutting dairy out of your diet for a month (and yes, I mean all of it, no milk, butter, cheese, nothing with lactose, whey powder etc etc), have a really healthy diet full of vegetables and fruit (more than the rather low recommended 5 a day if possible).
Get some exercise - get out in the fresh air and walk. Breathe deeply.

Bengay is a great remedy for these symptoms, I have used it for many years, Not a Doctor.
just rub some on your temples and across your forehead, under your eyes where your sinus are, yes it will make your eyes water, this is why you should do this before bed. It is fantastic for chest congestion, simply rub on your chest generously and feel the magic happen, also you can rub all over your neck and it will help relieve sore throat pain. WARNING with some people Bengay will heat up, may be uncomfortable for some, I recommend testing a small area first... It does work !

get sinus or throat culture before next round of antibiotics, Home remedy is chicken soup/ orange juice, Warm saline nasal rinses, can use McNeil Sinus rinse, has salt and pinch of baking soda so it won't burn. Nyquil, has diphenhydramine or Benadryl in it, will dry you up. salt water gargles, tea's, bland foods. Vit C/ Zinc 100mg, stay hydrated. could be virus, it's been going around, so wash your hands, keyboard and cellphone, change toothbrush when well. doubt bacteria mutated, but, you might not have had the right antibiotic and doc should have cultured you first, they are the first ones to not want to treat sinus inf with antibiotics and then they do it anyway. The docs need to follow their own advice and shut up and start being truthful with the public. He shouldn't have guessed, cause that's exactly how resistant bacteria works. he probably gave you 5 day Z pack and it killed off enough staph or upper resp flora, try some yogurt or Kefir, tangy yogurt from health food store, to restore gut bacteria or eat green vegies for the same effect.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.
Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Sore throat is usually due to a viral infection. Gargling with warm salty water or mouthwash can reduce the pain and inconvenience. You can find some good home remedies at http://ailments.in/sorethroat.html

Honey will affect your diabetics its a natural sager and should be taken in moderation. As far as it comes to the sore throat gargle salt water (don't swallow). If you have bengay around the house rub it on your hands the smell from it should clear you up! But as much as I hate to sound like the rest of them you shoud go to the doctor. Good luck!
