2.) Have a bunch of people go to the movies with me and my boyfriend.

I would have a party, but if you want to make it only among friends then pick your second choice.

Either one, but if you choose to ask a bunch of folks to go out and have a good time celebrating your birthday, consider going bowling, or some other sport or event. That way everyone can laugh, talk and have fun, and if you chose the movies, make sure everyone wants to see the same movie that you and your boyfriend have chosen to see.
