it was COMPLETELY political, i like many different kinds of music including country and there new songs aren't even good, people don't care to hear them especially country music fans, there songs are hardly requested and there just plainly not cared for anymore, there new album is just songs about whining, i'm sure they know that they would have never received those awards if the fans would have got to voted, it was just a bunch of smoke blown up there butts, the fans know what those awards were about and so do the other nominee's who got robbed, when will singers and actors know that we don't care what they think about politics and to keep there opinions to themselves!

The Dixie Chicks are a terrific group. I saw them here in Winnipeg last year and they put on a fantastic show. But I really think The Dixie Chicks should get over any bad feelings they have about whatever happened in the past. They won their awards. Time to move on.

If the dixie chicks had said what they said about George Bush 6 months ago, I really don't think they would have caught as much flack over it. I am happy for them and hope they are back for good.

I think it was a mixture of both. Political because the country is desperately trying to move in a new direction. Gone are the days when speaking out against our president makes a person unpatriotic. This country is moving away from fear and I'm glad. Having said all that, it would just be FLAT wrong of me to fail to mention how talented the group is. I've loved their music for a LONG time and I hope that they continue to make awesome, true to their hearts music.

These girls are fairly Talented So what if one of them made a remark about the president,(it was a true statement) We are all intitled to speak on our views, what happened to free speech? If drug addicts, and murderers, can be at the award shows and be nominated why can't someone who spoke the truth also be there wnd win.?

The liberals in the Music Industry decided to give them to awards to fly in the face of country music fans.

I'd love to see Toby Keith Put a boot...

It was definitley a political slap in the face to the country music industry for their response to the Chickie *****' remarks about George Bush.
I've always thought they were over-rated, and no, I've never watched the Grammy's.
I've watched the Oscar's once only, and that was enough for me.
What I see in the commercials for them is enough.
