I'm throwing a baby shower, in April, for my best friend's daughter. Any suggestions for food or games? Thanks so much.

Some games I've played at showers:

Baby pin game: Give every guest a diaper pin as they come in and have them pin it on their shirt. Pick a word that would come up in baby shower conversation. Whenever anyone says that word, the first person who calls them on it gets their pin(s). The person with the most pins wins a prize.

Diaper guess: Pick several kinds of candy bars. You need a diaper for each candy bar. Melt the candy and smash it into it's diaper. Pass them around and have the guests guess what candy bar is in each diaper.

Ring the mom to be: Pass out a length of crepe ribbon or string. Each person in turn cuts off as much as they think will take to go around the shower mom's belly.

I just went to a Baby shower this past week-end, One of the games was cute and grose! You take baby diapers and different chocolate bars and melt them in the diaper and have the diaper numbered for how many different candy bars you will be using, and the guests smell the melted candy and try to guess what candy bar it is, and write it down on a paper. Discusting but cute.
Another game is taking a bowl of cotton balls and a big spoon, and blindfold the person, they scoop into the bowl and get some cotton balls only thing is you really can't tell if you have any because of the weight factor, when they say they are done you count the cotton balls they have (if any) whoever has the most wins.
As far as food they had a chocolate fountain and berries to dip into it, also finger sandwiches, chips and dip, and soda or punch.
Hope this helps you!

Well it depends on what the Mommy to be would like.I threw a baby shower for my sister and we only played 2 games because their were allot of people their. We played baby bingo and a word scramble. As far as food went the place where we had the shower catered for a reasonable price. It all depends on what you all prefer altho I will say that having it catered was nice because they did all the work except for decorating.Good luck and I hope she has a happy healthy baby.

never throw a baby, even into a shower... they arent ready to play games and eat in there... they could get hurt, slip, or fall
