My oldest daughter loved her exercauser. I would say she easily spent over 15 minutes a day in it, but she also spent time doing other things too. She had plenty of play time on the floor so that she could stretch out and learn to crawl, etc. She didn't suffer any delays. She was crawling by 6 months and she starting walking right after she turned 9 months old. Just do what feels right for you and her. If she enjoys playing in it, let her spend the time in it, just make sure she still spends time on the floor. My younger daughter has a jumperoo, and she loves that. It gives her legs exercise too by jumping.

I had one for my son, but he didn't like it as much as he liked his swing. Even so, I sometimes plopped him in it for 30 minutes or so while I took a shower or cooked dinner (in the early months, DH was doing Army duty so I was on my own). He did, however, spend a LOT of time in his swing. He loved it. Neither the time in the swing or the Exersaucer seemed to inhibit his motor skills. He sat up at five months, crawled somewhere between 7-8, and walked right after his first birthday.

I have never used items like that so I dont know from experience.. but I have heard the same things but mostly about leg development more than actual motor skills..
But I can also honestly say none of my kids reached all the milestones at the same age.. sometimes they were early, in some cases they were right on time, other times they were late..
As long as she is getting various activities and is not in the saucer thing all day I wouldnt worry.

I dont know if it causes delays. My baby wont stay in her jolly jumper for more then fifteen mintues a day anyways. So she usually lays on her back or sits up. She doesnt like laying as much as sitting. Now that your daughter is five months it might be beneficial to prop her up on pillows so she can learn to sit and can get a different vantage point then the floor on her tummy.

I never timed it but my son spent a fair bit of time in it on and off. He didn't crawl for a long time, not because he couldn't, he could, but because he decided rolling around was easier.
He pulled himself up to standing, started crawling everywhere, and learned to walk in 2 weeks just after 9 months

my son spent little time in those when he was a baby and became delayed due to a problem with his ears. He finally caught up about 2.5 and at 3, he talks better than most 5 year olds.
I think each child is different. Also, they'll catch up in their own time. :)
If you're worried about your child, talk to your pediatrician.

As a mom - it breaks my heart. because the spouse of a Corrections Officer, I comprehend why. to commence off with, we are speaking about 2 diverse states - it would nicely be through the border and the pink tape and fee in touch is astronomical. you would choose 2 to three diverse federal correction officials from each and every state who will be operating time previous regulation, you would choose in order to pay for food and take care of housing of the prisoner previously, throughout, and after delivery. you would choose particular permission for the prisoner to even pass to the well being center (our community well being center in trouble-free words helps one prisoner of their well being center at everybody time, if somebody else receives harm or ill, they ought to go back and forth an hour and a 1/2 to a distinct well being center, even although there is one 1/2-hour away - notwithstanding it is through the border) finally, this actual prisoner will be a difficulty in the power, and the alternative will be in accordance inclusive of his record in the power itself. there is continually some thing of the tale...
