I can see satellites crossing the sky like crazy and I am in North America. Michigan, USA to be exact.

They appear as tiny stars that move at a notable speed. It is hard to see them in the city because the ugly man-made street lights make the sky appear not so brilliant.

But alone, up north, at a cottage or cabin, where there is nothing to interfere with the beautiful night sky it is easy to spot them. Just lie back, look up, focus, concentrate, sweep the sky with your eyes and you'll catch a "moving star" and you can actually watch it as it orbits the earth...well, as long as your vision allows anyway.

They orbit on a reliable path so you can chart them and their movements. It's fun.

We have contests to see who can spot the most satellites in one night.

If you spend enough time looking at the sky you will see stars moving. Real stars and planets can't move that fast so they will be satellites.
