No.
Sure, the world is too loose with the rules. There's too many lazy people who are having a great time in life but eventually it all comes crashing down on them. The crime is getting so bad, that rules and laws are a joke. The schools are full of slackers, and our economy is being hurt by that continuous thinking when they try to get a job. Everyone boss out there knows how hard it is to find a "good" employee. And it gets worse every year.
But there's also a too serious side to life. All the hard working, no-fun, focused people miss out when they skip parties and just work. IT could be a paid job, or working on an investment property, or a hobby that has gone too far.
Smiles are surly needed. A good mix between working hard and playing hard will benefit both our own mental stability and the economy.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!!!

I wrote a poem about smile
It about how a smile can go a long way to those we touch with just a smile. Just that moment of time. Sharing a smile with someone can bring so much to us without knowing the effects it has.
Why take something away that is beautiful? When we can share it without any cost and to give instead.

Man is distinguished from all other creatures by the faculty of laughter.
Joseph Addison (1672 - 1719), The Spectator, September 26, 1712
Total absence of humor renders life impossible.
Colette (1873 - 1954), Chance Acquaintances, 1952
If we couldn't laugh, we would all go insane.
Jimmy Buffett
Laughter is by definition healthy.
Doris Lessing
Always laugh when you can. It is cheap medicine.
Lord Byron (1788 - 1824)
Among those whom I like or admire, I can find no common denominator, but among those whom I love, I can: all of them make me laugh.
W. H. Auden (1907 - 1973)

No, serious only gets us into more trouble/problems. There are times to be serious and times to laugh. A person told me that" I am the kind of person that can make or take a joke in the middle of adversity". Maybe a sense of humor entwined in turmoil would wet the fuse? shall we say? Too many 'hot-heads' in too many places make rash/heated decisions without sitting back and thinking before they insert their foot into their mouth. How's that for an answer? I

Oh heavens no! there are already too many serious people that need to lighten up a little. I think it's just a matter of knowing when to be serious & when to have fun. Some people don't know how to differentiate & think fun time is all the time and vice versa.

No, it would just make everyone depressed. Who doesnt like to smile and laugh? But too much of anything isnt good. You cant be too serious and you always be laughing. You need balance in life in order to survive.

It takes more facial muscles to frown, so we should exercise our faces and smile, some people though ,will smile to your face while they trash you behind clenched smiling teeth. Almost forces one to become serious, I think there is a place for both, in fact we need both.
