If the welfare agency sent you a W-2 with witholding for Federal and/or State income tax, you should definitely file. Form 1040EZ

If not, you should definitely file a Form 1040-EZ-T for the telecommunications credit, $50 to you from the IRS.

You should try to get a small job in 2007, any job. In your situation, even a small job would yield a big refund for the Earned Income Credit. Check with your Case Manager to see the limitations of employment that will allow you to keep your benefits.

God Bless You and keep your family safe.
