If I keep contracting this year I will easily punch 1 million miles, would you class this as a milestone or madness ?

I love to travel, but doing it for work might change my mind because I don't like deadlines. I suppose it depends on what my job would be...but I do love being on the road. I'd classify a million miles as a milestone AND madness, in that case ;)

I like BEING in different places, but getting there drives me nuts. I used to love flying but I'm getting more claustophobic as I get older. I like to get the window seat when flying so I can lean against the window and sleep, but then that pens me in so I can't get up as easily when I want to. There's never enough room for me,my carry on and my 'personal item'. Layovers are long and tedious, even with a good book.

I had a puddle jumper flight from Tampa to Panama City, FL recently and on one side of the aisle was a single seat. I actually liked that because I could spread out a little and no one interrupted me while I was finishing my book.

I would not like travelling for work because I couldn't be home with my kids. To me anything that took me away from them wouild be madness. I guess that's why I'm a stay at home mom.

Milestone! Traveling, while tiring, is beneficial in a lot of aspects. I mean, you can learn new things, yeah? If anything, familiarize yourself with airports.

That sounds weird. In short, I love traveling, and while there probably is a point where I would get sick of it, I'm not there yet. You can look at it however you want. Go for optimism, though.

Depends. Do you have kids at home?
I travel for work a lot, but I am currently working out of my house. I hate being away. I was away the entire summer and when I got back my 11 year old son was about 4 inches taller. I missed all his swim meets. I don't want to get into how my daughter changed.
It ain't worth it.

a milestone of course , hubby is a trucker and loves to travel and doing it for work (like we have) doesn't change a thing. seeing new and different things and meeting new people is the best part of it all. good luck

I love to travel, and I would not mind if my work kept me around the globe. But I guess it would be hard to settle down properly, no time to see the wife, kids, etc.... it might be hard, but you would have to balance the pros and cons to rule if its good for you or not.

Good luck!
