shop around. on the highstreet some company will offer comision free currency exchange, thought this may result in them giving u a bad exchange rate. iv found that Marks n sparks offer the best commision free exchange rate on the highstreet and the post office isnt to bad to. also the bank you bank with may offer customers a special rate and some website offer great exchange rate thought this has safty and collection issues. try not to take out money on card when abbroad as cards usauly give the worst rate, so check before u go.
Also try to take enought so u dont use card ur card abroad, but not to much as buy back rates are normaly poor. thought some companies offer buy back for the same rate as u bought it from them.

Go to a Bank Of America and they don't charge you to exchange currency. At least not in South Carolina.
Go to their website and see. https://www.bankofamerica.com/index.jsp
Hope this helped.

Log onto "currencyexchange.com" and it'll tell you the going rate on the market, then I'd go to my bank and see what they're charging.
