Morning sickness is caused by your body's reaction to the increased levels of hormones brought on by pregnancy. I had it pretty bad, felt the first waves of it around 5 weeks and it increased in intensity from there on in until I had it 24/7 up until around 13 weeks when it finally started to back off. I was myself again around 16 weeks.

In terms of it being too soon -- I'd say if you're at a point where you can get a positive on a pregnancy test (tests detect the pregnancy hormones in your urine), then you could feel some nausea.

If it's too soon to test, but you're sure that you're feeling nauseous, then you could just be hyper-sensitive to the hormonal changes... in which case, you have my sympathy because once those hormones really start kicking into gear, you're going to be miserable... good luck!

Sure you can! One way I knew I was pregnant was the changes that happened for what seemed like over night...my nipples and area around the nipples turn purple as did my private parts...that was funny...purple parts...lol I also grew thick, but sparse, black hair on my thighs, and nausea as well. And had alot of breast tenderness. All these made me decide to do a pregnancy test. I was only 3 weeks along when the doctor confirmed that at home test. Good Luck!!

I know a woman who said with both her pregnancies she had morning sickness within a day or two of conceiving. I felt sick in the mornings about a week after conceiving and before I got a positive test!

Do you mean one week since your period? or since you ovulated? If it's since you ovulated you'd really be 3 weeks pregnant (I know the math is dumb). The egg doesn't even implant for about 10 days after conception so there is no way you'd have symptoms yet. The soonest I've heard of symptoms is about 3-5 days before you would miss your period and even that's pretty uncommon

I got really sick one week before I was supposed to start my period. I got symptoms quick. It sucks. I am 10 weeks and I'm still really sick. I didn't think you could get sick early but you can get symptoms 3 dyas after you conceive. Good luck!!
