It is clear nobody buys their Cd's anymore, so for them to receive such recognition it is clear they bought off the awards in a pathetic attempt to "jump start" their flagging careers (and sales).

So how much do you think it costs to buy 5 "grammys" ?

sources, shmources, Hahaha that is one funny question!!!
If the cost of their grammies were equal to their talent, I would say a buck eighty-five!

You gotta be kidding. The grammy's have by no potential been approximately awarding worth music. I recommend while human beings from American Idol are considered its an entire humorous tale. i do no longer purely like the dixie chicks yet a minimum of they're proficient singers and gamers. There songs basically blow. And to all those human beings saying the voters are liberal you do no longer comprehend what your speaking approximately. to no longer point out public populartiy has no longer something to do with triumphing the award. So this album sales argument and the certainty that there no longer performed on usa radio potential no longer something.

The terrorists paid off the grammy people so it would make it look like the dixie chickens can say anything they want about Bush and still get awards. The grammys are a joke anyhow

I don't know...but at least the Dixie Chicks are from this decade. It's been worse other years...like two years ago when they just gave Ray Charles all the major awards because he had died a year ago...or like the guy above me said, STEELY DAN!

I for one am thrilled that they won so many Grammy's.

Very few people have the courage of their convictions, and the Chicks obviously do, given that they very nearly threw away their career to stand behind their views. It is nice to see them rewarded for it.

By the way, disliking Bush doesn't make you anti-American, it confirms that you are a sane, rational person.

I'm not a fan of theirs by any means but I find it very interesting and telling that you don't cite sources... we're just supposed to take your word for it that 'nobody buys their Cd's anymore'. Do you always react this way when people against Bush meet with any kind of success? And is being a Bush supporter becoming an increasingly lonely experience for you? Good day to your sir. :-)

Is it hard being a redneck? Just becuase they didn't sell alot of albums to the country music crowd doesn't mean they didn't deserve all the awards the recieved. Many non counrty fans bought their record. Sounds like you just hate them to hate them. Get over it.

Where I live they won't play them on the radio. But I think they have alot of popularity in other countries besides the USA.

I don't know how their album sales are doing, but it can't be lower than Steely Dans' when they won a few years ago.
