A GREAT series of books is Will and Ariel Durrant's "The Story of Civilization" The first volume talks all about EACH chinese dynasty. Of course this requires you to actually open a real history book and read it rather than cut and paste a website, but you will learn much more reading about it that way. Good luck.

After seizing Beijing, the Manchus continued to wage numerous military campaigns to secure control of the rest of China. One threat came from three southern provinces—Yunnan, Guangdong (Kwangtung), and Fujian (Fukian)—which had been placed under the jurisdiction of three generals who had cooperated with the Manchu conquest.
