I am trying to get free internet service for my grandson who lives near wi-fi hotspots..I gave him a computer with wi-fi capabilities but he cannot get online as it says it is searching. There are free hotspots at 2 loacations near him. Would a booster antenna help? Any help greatly appreciated..

A booster antenna as you called it might help but not in a noticable way. Now there are antennas that would amplify the signal around you but this all depends on how far you want to take it. If the signal is really weak then you are better off just getting your own internet because no one wants to get logged to the internet just to disconnect two minutes later. Thats more annoying than paying for internet.

Then connect a router for your modem and also you get loose wifi. in case you opt for to apply your human being computer on wifi purely purchase a USB on the spot adapter and installation it on your human being computer and it is going to run on wifi. I actual have 2 personal computer pcs operating in different rooms right here on wifi.
