Pretty much all of it is wonderful. I love the 2 guitar solo albums, especially Stucco Homes & While You Were Out from Shut Up & Play...Also fabulous are Greggary Peccary, Drowning Witch, Strictly Genteel, Yo Mama, and of course, Evelynthemodifieddog! The man was a musical genius, & will be remembered long after mere guitarists like Satriani, Zakk Wylde & co. are distant memories.

His live lp album HOT RATS in 1970 with his old friend Don Van Vliet aka Captain Beefheart and also with Jean Luc Ponty and Sugar Cane Harris at violins is fantastic !! They played>>Peaches en regalia/Willie the pimp/Son of Mr green genes/ Little umbrellas/The gumbo variations/It must be a camel.
For your information if you have never heard it it has been reissued on cd in may 95 on "Rykodisc"; RCD 10508....To be heard !!!!
Dont forget all his work with the group The Mothers of Invention Group who reformed in the 70s just called The Mothers.

I'm not a particularly huge fan of Monsieur Zappa, but the man had talent! The song that sticks in my head and pleases me when I hear it :"I'm the Slime Oozing from Your TV Set." Cool lyrics, and Frank really could wail on that Gibson SG when he wanted to! I saw a Youtube video of him doing it live on 'Saturday Night Live' (I think). I hope you know the song I am speaking of well. I think he peaked in popularity after 'Sheik Yerbouti'.
