I have an electric motor with a live , neutral and a Live switch wire on it ...?

this motor is for an extractor fan..does the live and the live switch need their own independant live wires ? Because I tried wiring the live and the live switch on the same live, but motor simply does not work..

check the motor with an ohm meter to see if the windings are open

Nah, you should ask some engineers and contractors.

The motor may be bad. Try the live to the neutral. And be sure to have a separate ground.
