I have already discussed this with my friends and I am having Wipe Out as people enter the church and as they close the curtains over me, I'm having Material Girl by Madonna
I want people to remember how much I could laugh and not be sad..........

I don't plan on dying. I'm going to plug my brain into the internet and live forever! :-)

I have to admit that the last top ten funeral list I saw didn't blow me away with inspiring choices - a lot of naff love ballads. I wouldn't choose any of these:

1. Goodbye My Lover - James Blunt
2. Angels - Robbie Williams
3. I've Had the Time of My Life - Jennifer Warnes and Bill Medley
4. Wind Beneath My Wings - Bette Midler
5. Pie Jesu - Requiem
6. Candle in the Wind - Elton John
7. With or Without You - U2
8. Tears in Heaven - Eric Clapton
9. Every Breath You Take - The Police
10. Unchained Melody - Righteous Brothers

If someone did unplug me from the internet and planned on burying me I would probably go for 'Chariots of Fire' as it is a personal favourite and isn't as controversial as others I might be tempted by - The Jam and "Going Underground" is a bit un-PC, but I'd love to have that played as well!

Already put this in my papers for after I go.
I want 2 songs:

1) "Time Will Pass You By" by Tobi Legend
Because I don't want anyone to go through life WISHING they'd done things, like I have.

2) "The Carnival Is Over" by The Seekers.
Because even though I'll have gone, life must go on for family and friends.

If you've never heard them, try Limewire-ing them and see what I mean!

Well, I'm hoping that I'll be around for another 50-60 years so I think there will be lots and lots and lots of new & wonderful music created that we don't know yet. If you choose a song now, that might not be your absolute favourite song in, let's say 30 years' time. I'd like to wait with this decision.

I would have the following songs played:

The World at Large by Modest Mouse would be played as everyone walked in.

As the curtain was drawn, I would have How it Ends by DeVotchKa. Its such a hauntingly sad song.

As everyone walked out, I would have Cancer by My Chemical Romance. Its one of my favourite songs and perfectly appropriate.

Dont stop me now - by Queen.

And anything by the Blues brothers - probably Gimme some loving as in the lyrics its says 'so glad you made it' - which I think is a nice way of saying thanks for coming to the funeral!!! ;-)

Would much rather have something uplifting or funny to take the edge off.

The Masterplan by Oasis & Light & Day (Reach For The Sun) by the Polyphonic Spree.

I think they're both inspirational & uplifting & I'd want everyone to know that I'd really enjoyed myself.

I think I'll have Last Request by Paolo Nutini or Goodbye My Love by James Blunt.

Everyone else is saying they don't want to make it a sad occasion but its gonna be anyway so why not be a drama queen and play up to it.

I would have "Smile Like you mean it" by the Killers, Fallen by Delerium and "Thankyou" by Dido.

I want to be cremated, because I believe it is better for the Earth.
I like the killers song because it's one of my faves.
Fallen is a fave too. But Thankyou is my way of thanking everyone for being in my life.
