We raised dwarf rabbits when I was a kid...I don't remember weight, but probably not more than 2-3 lbs. They didn't get much longer than 8 inches, though. They were just the right size for a 6 and 8 year-old's hands for cuddling.

Dwarf rabbits are not very big. They tend to weigh under 3 pounds. But if your thinking of getting one for a pet you might want to do some research on the breed.

Couldn't tell ya. My husband bought me the Cutest baby bunny. The shop told him it was a dwarf...It was funny how a dwarf turned into a 10 lb Rex hehehehe. My only suggestion if you are thinking about getting a bunny, get one from a breeder or someone with a knowledge of rabbits NEVER a pet store. We learned the hard way about that. Turns out that most pet shops get their bunnies from mass breeding establishments. The have congenital defects and have respiratory problems along with sniffles. We took our little baby to the vet as soon as I got it and he was very sick. Our vet is very reasonable as far as money goes, they feel that people shouldn't have to pay out their life savings to care for an animal so the visit could have been much worse. Needles to say he had a multitude of problems the vet explained to me all about the "Bunny Mills". The other thing you can look into is Bunny rescue. People buy bunny's and don't care for them or think they are to hard to care for. Now they have many bunny rescues. It is a great place to start. They can sometimes tell you everything you need to know about care.

dwarfs are under 3 lbs. They are, however, NOT good for kids. When it comes to children and rabbits, bigger is better, for both, older kids(over 6) and larger rabbits(at least 5-6 lbs). Few kids, no matter how sweet natured, have the demeanor to be around rabbits, they are prey animals. Check out the House Rabbit Society: www.rabbit.org

They mature to about 3 to 4 pounds and are great little pets. I take care of my friends when they are out of town and I also have to trim one of her dwarfs teeth, very easy and sweet to handle. I just love them!
