IT sounds like you have found a clutch of eggs! congrats your a mom!
Unlike most fish gold fish dont give birth to live young. And its entirely possible your fish was pregnant when you bought it because they can store sperm for a few months before laying eggs. If you want to try and hatch the eggs you should separate them and put them in there own tank. Then call a local pet store for instructions on what to do when they hatch.
If you don't care either way just leave them in the tank and your goldfish will eat them, yummy.

good question. a goldfish only needs to mate 1 time and it can reproduce for a year those "balls" at the bottom of the tank are eggs. get a net to keep them safe and a 5 gallon GLASS tank.

I take it that your fish is alone in her bowl?
It is quite probably that your goldfish has laid eggs but if she is alone they will never hatch. Fish reproduce by the female laying eggs (as your one has done) with the male releasing his milt (in which are the sperm) over them.
No male, no milt, no hatching I'm sorry to say. Better to remove the eggs before they go bad.

Often mature fish that are egg layers (like goldfish) will lay eggs without a male present. unfortunately they are infertile and should be removed as they will rot and wreck your water quality

egg laying fish tend to produce eggs whether theres a fishy other half there or not. but if they're alone, the eggs will do nothing.
the eggs you have found will be infertile, remove them and throw them away. if left, the fish will probably just eat them.

I'm not sure but if they are eggs and you want them to hatch you need to move them into a separate tank otherwise your fish will eat them

I'm really not aware of whether or not goldfish have the capability to fertilize their own eggs, but it defintly sounds like you've found eggs. Keep them and see what happens.

They are unfertilised eggs which means they won't hatch and need clearing from the water immediately so they don't go stagnant putting protein in the water.

fish can lay eggs but they wont get fertilised because you will need a male to do this so don't worry you wont have any baby fish
