Dear sara j,

(a) P(Z > 1.763) = 1 - P(Z <= 1.763) = 1 - 0.96105 = 0.03895 .

(b) P(-0.543 < Z <= 0.689) = 1 - P(Z <= -0.543) - P(Z > 0.689)
= 1 - 0.29356 - 0.24541 = 0.46103 .

If you're in a statistics class you obviously know how to do math. Read your textbook and figure out the method of obtaining the solution since most people don't carry around a z probability chart.
