As anyone noticed that now Virgin has taken over they want to cancel several channels. Why?? Especially Sky one, and Sky news. There are lots of excellent shows on Sky one, and in my opinion Sky news is the best news station. If they remove them people will just move to other digital TV companies. I have already lost 'The Box' TV channel - not that I ever watch it, but I think it is unfair they can remove channels and still expect us to pay the same amount for less channels!!

Virgin reckon they will improve the service. Only time will tell. Sky+ is a very attractive package, except Boston (me) ate the BT line.

Because Richard Branson is now in direct competition with Rupert Murdochs SKYTv - Branson bought into NTL as a pathway to investing in ITV - SKY blocked this by buying a huge chunk of ITV - this P***ed Richard Branson off - so now he is removing the SKY packages from NTL

WHAT!!!! why are they gettin rid of channels? loads of people are ditching it and goin 2 sky. i've had telewest of virgin or whatever since they were birmingham cable and wireless, and thats like 10 years or so. i dont really wanna go to sky because i like telewests format. we should be getting extra channels not losing them!

i agree, thats why there is a number for you to call to register your concern over losing the channels.
Virgin haven't taken over it is a joint partnership and ntl still control the tv side they just use the Virgin brand for advertising.

I love Sky one, I didn't realise we were going to lose it. I will leave Telewest if this happens and go directly to Sky .
