There is serious discussion here in South Africa around the issue, with people alleging we are the crime capital of the world. So is there an organisattion like Greenpeace or Human Rights watch who can provide evidence!

You could only compare crime in different cities if the culture and people were the same, otherwise it's like trying to compare chalk and cheese.

What drives some people to crime, and what is considered a crime is different for every culture and generation. I wouldn't give credence to anything that hypocrites like Greenpeace claim either.
