Depends how you define better??

better as in recovering from an illness
or
better as in being a better person?

to recover from my cold i'm trying to get plenty or rest without allowing myself to wallow

in terms of making myself a better person, i disagree with the concept. for years i thoguht of myself as a bad person, as wrong and i was so concerned that i should be a better one. in reality, it was just low self worth and what i needed was to love myself more. that i am learning to do. but it doesnt make me a better person, just a less miserable one.

i try and do good deeds when i can, even if its just giving up my seat on the bus or giving the big issue guy my cup of coffee, because i'm lucky to have a roof over my head, to be well enough to stand up for a 10 minute bus ride. but i dont think doing so makes be a better person, or not doing so makes me a bad person. it makes me happier because i feel good about helping someone else, and it hopefully makes them happier because someone showed they care. but we each do what we can, and i dont think we should judge people as better or worse in that example

now if were talknig someone who is a rapist or a murderer, then yes if they stopped doing this it would in sociaty's eyes make them a better person, but if they have already killed or raped, can they ever be a "better person" or are their criems too bad? And if they feel the desire still within their heart, then they arent better people as such, just controlled - either by will or by state.

so i won't do anything to be a better person, but i hope that i can bring a little happiness to my own life and to that of others jsut by being me

Eating more healthily, doing more exercise, going to bed at a decent time, and thinking more positively about myself and my abilities.

Listening more than talking for starters. Continuing to learn and appreciate others more than I do now.
