I was born in Africa and have recently moved overseas. There is NOTHING more stunning in this world, that the wildlife of Africa!
I can tell you that the best countries for a safari would be South Africa, Botswana, Namibia or Kenya. You won't regret it.

I have been to kenya and would say that it was a great place to take a Safari. In Kenya if your safari covers several parks, you should get to see plenty of wildlife (Lions, Elephants, Giraffe, Zevra, Cheetah, Leopard, Rhino etc..)

I do not know if it will be the best, but price wise it will probably be the best.

Other places to check out would be Botswana, South Africa, Tanzania.

As far as Safari companies go I used Somak. What I would say, is to go for the best safari that you can afford (the more you can afford, the better your experience will be). having said that, even with the lower priced trips, you will still get to see the animals.

Kenya is the most popular african country for safaris, as it is a beautifull country. I lived in Zimbabwe for 12 years, and it also has very beautifull areas, but has it's troubles too. The best thing to do, would be to research all the possibilities and make sure that wherever you choose, offers exactly what you want at what you can afford. Have a nice trip.

I think there is almost an unspoken grading of safari types. From guaranteed animals through to true wilderness experience (this doesn't mean no animals it means more remote and therefore less people). Bearing that in mind I recommend the following countries starting with the former category and ending with the latter.
Kenya, Botswana, Tanzania, Zambia.

I would have thought South Africa would be the first choice.

But I guess it's what you want to see on your safari.

Why not search on line - Safari + country name of your preferred choice.
