slavery =
1. a system based on using the enforced labor of other people
2. the condition of being forced to work for somebody else in past times
3. very hard work, especially for low pay and under bad conditions
4. a state of being completely dominated by another
you make the decission, if you work at a hard job for very low pay, this could be considered slavery. or the most common is a husband or wife that has complete dominace over the other, so i would say, yes, it is still out there.

The meaning of slavery has shifted over time and space. Across board however it refers to a significant degree of deprivation, dependence, bondage. The Atlantic Slave Trade, the medium through which American slavery came to be is only the most extreme case, given its magnitude in number and inhumanity. There have been arguably milder forms of slavery in every society and every epoch.
The modern form stretches between actual slavery in some hidden and not so hidden parts of the world (it is only a decade ago that apartheid ended) and milder forms. Considerable pawnage still goes on. Women prostitution racketerring, children trafficking, drug cartels. Forced labor in Brazilian plantations still exists. Milder forms include the almost choiceless work conditions that so called modern and industrial employments are. Have you ever heard someone say they are slaving for their bosses? In all, bondage just has different meanings. The modern milder variant resembles more historical labor forms than our civilized modernity will acknowledge.

Yes it does. This is evidenced by the many number of people from so called "Third world countries" who move into the so called "Developed countries" having been enticed with "Lucrative" and "Highly paying" jobs only to end up being used to do filthy jobs with low pay and very inhumane living conditions. Some end up being used as organ donors, guinea pigs for drug testing and other human experiments which the host nations would never subject their own citizens to. Other forms of exploitation include sexual exploitation in form of **** under the pretext of modelling and acting careers. So yes, slavery is still there

Very much among the Ex-pats from the subcontinent living in the west! The first slave is the wife they pick up when they visit home for shaadi! The second slave is then suggested by the first slave to husband why not bring your Mummy over...the rest we well know! None of this is nonsense, it really does exist and the subcontinent leads the way! Pity, but there we are.

Yes.
Colin Powell did a global survey on the topic just a few years ago.
Slavery is illegal in most countries, but is still practiced illegally in places like India and France, and with little or no government opposition in places like Kuwait and parts of Africa.
Most slavery practiced today is illegal.

of course it does. Until we wont have the same interest nor aspirations, so long as our race still dont bind with each other, slavery will always exist... in a family, of a nation, of the whole world...

Yes, but in a different forms. It can be in a forms of cheap labour, child labour and underpaid resources. Eventhough it is not clearly defined but the different between slavery and cheap labour is only separated by a very thin hair line.
