Is it racist? Offensive? Because I love that expression and use it quite frequently.

Jeez...this question bugs me. I've lived in ghettos. I've worked hard to get out of them and I have friends who still live in them. Is it offenisve...yes and no...it depends on who you're talking to, what you mean when you say it and why you're using that expression, i guess. I guess I don't mind the phrase, "Ghetto Fab" because to me, it means making so little look like a million bucks. But to mean trashy, dirty, worn down and useless...then, that would offend me...especially if you mean people...
I don't know if that cleared it for you or confused you more...lol.

Are you or any one u know from a ghetto? Do you know what the word means? Who/where did you pick this word up from & how do YOU use it? ***************Why would u have to ask such a question, if u didnt ALLREADY know the answer? Its not p-incorrect - its ignorantly stupid! Stop & think how some one who is/was in a ghetto would feel hearing you say "yah Amy that sweater is soooo ghetto!"
Your trying to mean - nasty/trashy/garbage/poor/bad - so why not use the ACTUAL word that u mean instead of one you dont even know about?!?!! ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ By the way, is it P.C. for me to refer to some one who uses the word "gheto" as "trailer"????!!!???

Don't worry about politically correct. Worry about right or wrong. There is nothing wrong with being poor. The poor are good and bad, just like the rich are good and bad. Be careful how you use the word. Never use it to harm.
