I'm just trying to get an idea of when the chapters are release, so i know when to start looking for the translated manga on the web.
I haven't watch FMA anime at all, do they follow the same plotline. Is it true to the manga, or does it lead astray?

I pretty postive that FMA manga isn't done. Its up to chapter 68...and doesn't look like it will be ending any time soon.

FMA gets released once a month in Japan. Since the chapters are long, it takes a while for the scans to pop up.

The anime starts off true to the manga storyline, but then diverges a lot in order to wrap things up in one season. Supposedly as the anime caught up with the manga, it was decided to end the anime with it's own storyline instead of creating a bunch of fillers to kill time (like you see in other animes). Both are great, but the anime is much shorter. Personally I loved the anime and actually liked that it was nice and compact. Definitely worth watching even if you read the manga. Just don't expect exactly the same story to unfold.

Yes, the FMA manga is already released throught out asia., so you could browse to find the translated manga..... i think it's already have a the end......
the FMA anime is actually both true to the manga and lead astray i think, because there's been some changes through out the plot of the story on the anime,. and there's been also some video of FMA on this site-> www.crunchyroll.com

I am positive that the manga is finished in Japan, and the English translation is very far along. It's very easy to find in stores.
I used to know a translation site for it as well that was free, but I lost the link almost a full two years ago...

It is usually released in Japan sometime between the 11th and the 15th. The next chapter should be coming out shortly. *fangirl moment* Can't wait! >.<
