I was standing by the train station and I saw this white guy staring me down and winking his eyes at me. He had asked me out but I told him that I was 16 and I turned him down he ended up being 26.but he was really cute. I like men of all colors but I'm very reluctant to date outside my race because my family doesn't apporve and I have the impression that many non-Black men only see Black women as sexual objects. I've dated a very sexy Cuban guy not too long ago but he only wanted sex and my grandma said that "whenever it seems like a white man wants a Black woman it's for sex" What can I do to get over this fear of white men?

try to look beyond stereotypes. Don't assume that they're all looking for the same thing, but at the same time if any guy is eyeing you in an uncomfortable way I wouldn't really go for him or pay him any attention. All the guys I've liked/dated have been white, even my fiance is white, and none of them have ever treated me like a sex object. But anyway, if you're attracted to a guy of any race ignore stereotypes and give him a chance.

maximum of them do no longer supply a rattling anymore, yet interior the previous it became the terror of black supremacy or some thing. lower back interior the day, women persons was taken care of style of like the valuables of their races men. White women persons have been "our women persons" to white men lower back then. because of this, a black guy became seen as stealing a white lady, or crossing a serious line. besides which, people did no longer prefer to think of that white women persons would desire to discover black men extra appealing then white ones, so even with what happened, the guy became accused of rape. sometimes the lady would declare she'd been raped if a black guy, afraid, refused to sleep together with her, and in the event that they slept collectively, she'd say it to stay away from looking like she became messing around in the previous marriage. So it became a lose lose difficulty for the black guy in touch, despite if he have been given laid. It created a theory that black men have been so attracted to white women those that they have got been truly vendors to raping them (simply by fact in a racist society whites would be seen more suitable and subsequently acceptable, whilst black men have been labeled as animalistic of their sexual needs). at present, there is not any longer plenty worry of black men with white women persons in any respect, and that is quite worry-loose actual.

The best way to get over your fear of anything is to just do it. My father told me the same thing, but I wouldn't listen to that. My fiance is white and while he loves our sex life, there are other personality traits that I have that made him fall in love with me from the start. I would say being 16, try a group date with some friends. That way it's not a one-on-one situation but you still have a chance to get to know your date.

Why do you have so many white/black issues? Your boyfriend cheated on you with a white female, your dad would leave your mother for one..... Now some white man wants you who is way too old for you and you think he only wants you for the wrong thing..... For one, you're to young to even have these problems, stop thinking about men and start thinking about your studies.

If a black man dates outside his race do your relatives approve?
Black men too want a woman for sex.
And do you know a woman is raped in South Africa every 26 seconds? The large majority of its population is black. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/world/africa/4713172.stm

LOL!

Take your sweet time. There is nothing major about dating outside your race.... (especially white men) just make sure you pick a really good one.

I find your question really funny...

I am a white man who would be reluctant to ask a black girl for a date because I would think that she had no interest in a white man. You see, we all have our fears but if we can rise above it we could have so much more enjoyable lives. Please don't be afraid of white men my dear.

You can't put that on just white men. Men are men and they view women as sexual objects, it's up to you to set them straight and that you won't tolerate disrespect. Black men are just as bad so you can't just put this cave man mentality just on the white man.

Lots of white men marry black women so I dont agree with granma. 26 is too old for you whether he's black or white. Try not to look at the skin color get to know people for who they are.

Stop being around mindless idiots. I am white and I have NEVER treated any female in the ways you have noted.

I don't know what kind of clique you hang out with, but get to know a few white guys that are, well, geeks. Don't hang out with the jocks or the preppy guys, they will disappoint you.

I REALLY hope this helps.
